eBay Elite Summit Takes the Big Apple by Storm

New York City, NY May 19, 2004 -- It's official. The newly-formed group of top-revenue, high-volume sellers, known as the eBay Elite, completed its' first two-day summit held in New York City on May 1st and 2nd. This ground-breaking conference, attended by eBay's top sellers and a half-dozen industry Preferred Service Providers and Wall Street analysts, laid the foundation for an organized liaison between eBay's veteran merchants and key decision makers.

The group will provide the means to generate common ideas and solutions to help ensure future growth and profitability. According to Joe Cortese, group leader, "This first meeting far exceeded our expectations. We came here as individual entrepreneurs with personal objectives, and left as a unified identity with a common, defined mission that will collectively propel us to the next level. The knowledge exchanged was invaluable and the excitement was contagious."

Although the eBay Elite's work has only just begun, they are now on their way and committed to keeping the momentum in full swing. Next on the agenda is documenting key decisions and formalizing an action plan to ensure future progress. The group will be an exhibitor at the upcoming eBay Live!, the third such user conference, to be held in New Orleans on June 24th through June 26th. The group has targeted October or November, 2004, for the next summit. Cortese summarized the meeting by saying, "The phenomenal attendance clearly confirms the need for just such a group to leverage the collective experience of eBay's top sellers as a springboard to continual success and serve as a catalyst for positive change."
