The E. 48th Street Market, Italian Food Specialties, was established in 1986. The intention of the Augellos was to bring back a sense of the neighborhood family grocery store. Now it is going to the net!

It took me three years to find a deli that was "just like home" in New York City, and it was right here under my nose! I have since been making the 30 minute drive in to the store on weekends to feed my never ending thirst for pasta and Cold cuts and potato salad not to mention the meatballs and lasagna (SIX Kinds!). The best part of the trip is the bread. This bread does not come close...it hits the mark exactly. Having been a customer for three years, Charlie and I have struck up a relationship, allowing me to first bring bread, and soon after..all types of Italian Specialties to eBay. Charlie supplies many of the top restaurants with bread from his off-site bakery, now he can supply you!
